Situados en la carretera dorsal TF 24 en su punto kilométrico 33,5. Punto mas alto de recorrido: 2.200 m . aprox.
Aquí empieza el camino. Iniciamos la andadura por la montaña de Igueqe (2.267 m) a través de una pista a la izquierda de la TF 24, que al inicio está cerrada al paso de vehículos por una barrera metálica, para dirigirnos hasta el cruce de la Montaña la Negrita, el cual pasamos y donde se inicia un sendero no muy claro pero que teniendo como referencia visual el Pico Cho Marcial no ofrece posibilidad de pérdida.
En un primer tramo de este sendero pasaremos por una zona donde aún se aprecian los daños ocasionados por un incendio forestal hace años, desde aquí nos dirigiremos al punto más alto del pico (2.023. m, el Cuerno) , para luego después de un pequeño descenso muy corto, descansaremos en una pendiente de picón que mira al sur-oeste para posteriormente iniciar el ascenso por la cresta del primer pico hasta su cima en la cual encontraremos un mojón de piedras (1.950 m).
Este punto nos ofrece majestuosas vistas de la caldera de Pedro Gil, el barranco de Cosme entre el Lomo del Agua y el Pico; del volcán de las Arenas con su espléndido cráter al igual que de todo el Valle de Güímar.
Desde el mojón iniciamos el descenso por un sendero muy mal definido muy pronunciado y conformado por cantos rodados a los cuales debemos prestar extrema atención por el riesgo importante de caídas y que finalmente nos llevará hasta un hermoso pinar y a través de éste a la pista forestal de las Dehesas. Cho Marcial Mountain Peak - Las Dehesas. Güímar
The walk starts from the road TF-24 at kilometer 33.5. Highest point of travel: 2,200 m . approx.
We begin to walk by Igueqe Mountain (2,267 m ) through a track to the left of the TF-24 (closed to vehicles by a metal barrier), to go to the intersection of La Negrita Mountain , where we take a path which is not very clear but we can find it having the Cho Marcial Mountain Peak as a reference.
In the first part of this trail we will pass through an area where we can observe the damage caused by a wildfire some years ago. From here we will go to the highest point of the peak (2,023 m , El Cuerno), to continue a short distance downhill until we reach a slope with “picon” (small black volcanic rock) facing south-west, where we can have a little rest. Now we start our way up the ridge of the first peak to the summit in which we will find a cairn (1,950 m ).
This point offers excellent views of the Caldera of Pedro Gil; Cosme Ravine between the Lomo del Agua and the Peak; the Arenas volcano with its splendid crater, and views of the whole Guimar Valley
From the cairn we will start walking down an unclear path with a rough descent and full of loose stones (pay attention due to the high risk of falling) which will take us to the Dehesas forest track through a beautiful pine forest.
